Ben Folds Performs with the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra

Singer/pianist Ben Folds will be performing with the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra on April 27 at the luxurious Bass Performance Hall for a one-night only engagement. Folds will play his most popular solo hits, with the symphony accompanying him.

This is not Ben Folds first time to perform with a live orchestra. In recent years, he has traveled around the world to play with some of the most popular symphonies. Audiences are amazed with his diverse talent, as he transforms pop music into compositions suitable for strings, winds and brass.

Rent (The Musical) is Coming to Fort Worth!

Rent follows several struggling artists and musicians in New York's Lower East Side as they try to cope with life.

The rock musical Rent is once again touring. DFW residents will have the chance to hear the great music from this show March 3 - 11, 2012 at Casa Manana in Fort Worth.

Rent became a cult classic when it was first seen on Broadway in 1996. Since then, the musical has toured the country many times. It has received critical acclaim, including the Tony Award for Best Musical in 1996. It also has a special place in my heart, as it was the first Broadway production that I ever saw on-stage. When it debuts at Casa Manana, audiences are sure to be blown away by the amazing songs and deep rooted message of this musical.

Sir Paul McCartney Tribute at the Bass Performance Hall

Live and Let Die: The Music of Paul McCartney

For one weekend only, conductor Martin Herman will lead the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra for a night entitled, Live and Let Die: The Music of Paul McCartney at the Bass Performance Hall in Fort Worth. Singer Tony Kishman will pay tribute to rock legend Sir Paul McCartney by performing some of McCartney's most requested solo hits, including Maybe I'm Amazed and Silly Love Songs. The maestro has even promised to conduct the orchestra in some favorites by The Beatles as well.

Even though Sir Paul will not be there to join in the festivities, this concert is sure to blow the roof off the Bass Hall. Imagine a packed house full of Beatles and McCartney fans reminiscing about times when the Fab Four was still together. Hopefully, it will not be like the Ed Sullivan Show, where music lovers could not hear the band through the screams of love-stricken teenage girls.
