Seventy-Six at Lola's Saloon in Fort Worth

Independent rock band Seventy-Six is scheduled to play a set at Lola's Saloon in Fort Worth on Friday, January 6.  Heavy rock fans should check out this group - their style and lyrics are reminiscent of late 1990's rock, with a mixture of metal and grunge that really appeals to a thirty-something crowd.

The lineup of this rock band is quite impressive. All of the members came from various groups that were successful at one time or another. They include:

  • Terry Glaze from Lord Tracy, Pantera and Raised by Gods
  • Kinley Wolfe from Lord Tracy, The Cult and American Fuse
  • Taz Bentley from Izzy Stradlin, Burden Brothers and Rev. Horton Heat
  • Brian Harris from Lord Tracy and Queen for a Day

Although I am somewhat unfamiliar with this band, I am very impressed with their resumes. No Fort Worth music fan does not know the head-banging music of Pantera. Terry Glaze rocked with them from 1981-1986. Another Texas favorite is Rev. Horton Heat. Taz  Bentley was their drummer for over a decade. Three out of the four performers shared the stage as heavy rockers for Lord Tracy. You know that with talent like this, their music is sure to blow the roof off the joint.

Listen to the group performing their catchy song "Another One." This video was taken during the Wildflower Festival in 2011. Like what you hear? Then be sure to buy tickets for their concert at Lola's.

The show is set to start at 10pm, with the doors opening at 9pm. All ages are invited to attend. Ticket prices are $8 for those 21 and over, and $12 for everyone else.

Be ready to headbang the night away!
